Skin Tags
Are usually small soft, benign growths that are usually harmless and painless
Appearance
Can be the same colour as the skin, or slightly darker.
They can look like they are hanging off the skin, and can cause irritation from rubbing on jewellery or fabric
Range from a few milimeters to 5 cm wide
Common Locations
Can be located in any part of the body but most commonly are found in:
- Neck
- Armpits
- Groin
- Under the breasts
- Eyelids
- Under the fols of teh buttocks
Causes
Skin tags are more common in older people, however t patients wil type 2 diabetes, pregnant women may develop skin tags and some may devolops skin tags for no reason.
Treatment
Can be removed by freezing them off (cryotherapy- via Nitrogen spray)
