Cryotherapy at Westerhailes Pharmacy

How it works

Quick check

Your pharmacist looks at the area and confirms cryotherapy is suitable.

Freezing treatment

The clinician applies the freezing treatment to the assessed area and explains what to expect.

Healing

The treated area usually forms a small blister or scab and falls away over the following weeks.

Moles and changing skin marks

See your GP about a mole that changes size, shape or colour, becomes painful or itchy, or bleeds or crusts. An uncertain skin lesion needs medical assessment before cosmetic treatment. Read the NHS advice on moles and the British Association of Dermatologists cryotherapy leaflet.
